SPOKANE SPORT HORSE FARM AUGUST DRESSAGE AND DSHB SHOWS

Unfortunately the recent fire disaster here is Spokane has led to much loss of property, strained

first responders and many areas still closed off and on fire. While we were safe here at our

farm and even able to take in a few who could make it to us during the evacuations the

situation is quite dire. Air quality due to local fires, central Washington and Canadian fires

became unhealthy last night and is predicted to fluctuate between 120-200 or higher with 90

degree temps and red flag continued fire warnings through this weekend. Veterinarians

recommend not working animals above the 150 range and USEF shows should not operate

above 150 either. For all of these reasons we feel we need to cancel this 31st annual dressage

show now. We hope to return to all our May, June and August shows in 2027 and would

appreciate your support and return.

There are fixed already spent costs for shows (USEF, USDF registrations not refundable and

not carried forward) Hopefully those organizations won’t charge me to cancel as well as they

have in the past given the fact we are a disaster zone. Officials can usually cancel flights and

most won’t charge in this situation for late cancellations. We will return to you much of your

entry fees however please give me a little time to find out how much more expenses I must

meet first.

Thank you all for your support of our shows. If there is interest as I know many seek final

scores toward medals or year end awards we can contemplate possibly another recognized

show this fall before Nov 1. Please let me know your interest levels.
